2023/2024
It is with a deep sense of honour that I take on the role of the Society of Petroleum Engineers - SPE Ghana Section Chair. I am humbled and filled with gratitude and a great sense of responsibility to embark on this journey.
I want to express my sincerest appreciation to our Africa Regional Director, Oghogho Effiom, C. Dir. , our Section Directors, Ato Aidoo & Ing. Celestina Yaaba Kissi AMIChemE , our outgone Section Chair, Riverson Oppong, PhD., the entire Ghana Section Board of Directors and Section Officers for your vote of confidence in my abilities. This motivates me to work even harder and strive for excellence in my new role.

Account of Stewardship
I am thrilled to address the phenomenal members of the SPE Ghana Section this day, 31st August 2023 to deliver an account of my stewardship and handover of my position as the Section Chair.
I indeed deem it a great privilege to have been bestowed with the mandate to serve as section chair of this formidable society.
In hindsight, the past 12 months has been an exceptionally busy year imbued with groundbreaking activities.
Welcome to the SPE Ghana Section, one of the largest sections globally, boasting over 2,000 members. Our members comprise a diverse group of professionals ranging from drilling and completions engineers to production and operations specialists, as well as HSE practitioners, amongst several other energy-related professions.
