OUR MISSION
Message from Ghana Section Chair

Distinguished leaders of industry, esteemed academics, policymakers, innovators, and young professionals, on behalf of the Society of Petroleum Engineers Ghana Section, I warmly invite you to the 3rd SPE Ghana Biennial International Summit and Exhibition (GH-BISE 2026), taking place in Accra at The Palms. At a time when the global energy landscape is undergoing rapid transformation, Africa stands at a pivotal crossroads, rich in resources, abundant in talent, and brimming with opportunity. GH-BISE 2026 is not just a conference; it is a strategic platform to shape the future of energy on the continent and beyond. GH-BISE is under the theme “Sustainable Energy for Africa: Powering Growth, Innovation, and Inclusion”, which will convene global thought leaders, CEOs, policymakers, engineers, researchers, and young innovators to exchange ideas, forge partnerships, and co-create solutions that will define Africa’s energy future. Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor will be setting the tone for Africa’s sustainable energy agenda. Co-located Strategic Events will include: •Technical Paper Presentations: Covering upstream, midstream, and downstream operations, and renewable energies. •SPE Africa Regional Officers Workshop – Mobilising high-impact volunteer leadership •SPE Africa Young Professionals Workshop & Debate Finals – Empowering the next generation of energy leaders Main Activities •Pre-Conference Training (18–19 May | Hybrid). This will be focused on practical sessions on drilling excellence, gas value chains, AI, economic modelling, leadership, and decision-making. •Main Summit (20–21 May), this will involve High-level panel sessions with CEOs, directors, and policymakers on: oJust Energy Transition in Africa oInvestment & Energy Financing oDownstream sustainability & industrialisation oWomen’s leadership in energy •Young Professionals Away Day (22 May) will involve networking, mentorship, and leadership development. So, join us to showcase solutions, build partnerships and Influence Africa’s energy transition. I encourage you to be where Africa’s energy future is being defined. Be part of GH-BISE 2026.
